The majestic Monreale Castle, located on the borders of the territory, bears witness to the military importance of the town, which in 1324 became the venue for a historic peace treaty between the Aragonese and Arborea.

Local culture can be felt in the architecture of the historic center, characterized by typical Campidano houses made of stone and raw earth, featuring large portals and spacious inner courtyards (lollas). This architectural heritage blends with a profound religious devotion, the heart of which is the feast of the Madonna di Santa Maria Acquas in September. This celebration attracts thousands of worshippers with an evocative procession of festively decorated ox-drawn carts (traccas).
