The House Museum

It is a historic building typical of the country, made of raw earth, completely restored. The House represents an important testimony to the past and its restoration constitutes an initiative of notable historical and cultural value. It is used to host exhibitions and cultural events at various times of the year. Inside, you can relive a glimpse of life in the past. Not only household furnishings and utensils, but also Sardinian clothing and faithful reproductions resulting from careful studies of fabrics and styles, found in written and iconographic documents in historical archives. Gold and silver filigree embroidery; cloth dolls, called “pippias de Zappus,” made entirely by hand and dressed in the island’s traditional costumes. The House Museum is not just an important ethnographic exhibition, it is a living place.
